Public search engines
Your profile is public to search engines such as Google, Yahoo etc. Meaning, if someone searches your name on Google, your Twinbody profile will show up as a search result. You can elect to make your profile private by adjusting your public setting to private under “Account Settings”. This setting does not apply to the internal Twinbody search engine as that is kept public to Twinbody users for maximum user experience. If you turn your public search setting to Private and then search for yourself on a public search engine like Google, you may still see a preview of your Twinbody profile. This happens because some public search engines cache information for a period of time.
A Web beacon, also called web bugs and clear GIFs, is a programming code that can be used to display an image on a web page. A web beacon is so small that you usually can’t see it. Web beacons may be used to track online user behavior. It could also be used to move your unique identification information to a database and connect you with existing information we have from another person in our database. Web beacons may also be used in email messages.
Twinbody takes precautions to insure that member account information is kept private. We use reasonable measures to protect member information that is stored within our database, and we restrict access to member information to those employees who need access to perform their job functions, such as our customer service personnel and technical staff. Please note that we cannot guarantee the security of member account information. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors may compromise the security of member information at any time.
Twinbody may use or disclose your Personal Information if we feel it’s necessary to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, security or technical issues, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or as otherwise required by law when responding to subpoenas, court orders and other legal processes.
